Ending Trade School Stigma
We need to end the stigma attached to trade schools — and to trades themselves. College isn’t the be-all and end-all measurement of a successful life. Plenty of my friends are living in hovels, crippled by student loan debt, coddling their master’s or doctoral degrees. No kids, no house: no money.
Tim, and so many like him, aren’t living with mommy and daddy. They aren’t drowning in loan debt. They have stable jobs, jobs that pay well. Jobs that are recession-proof. They can provide for a family.
Isn’t that, in the end, the real American dream?
Holiday Extravaganza!
Woven City Restoration will be attending the Holiday Extravaganza at Ocean Fire Pottery in York, ME on Saturday, December 7th from 10 am to 5 pm. 23 Woodbridge Rd. York, ME.
#GivingTuesday
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3, 2019, and every day. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Your donation supports our apprentices in their paid apprenticeship, purchases supplies, helps with utilities, supports personal coaching, helps keep an apprentice connected to needed services, and gives back to your community!

A place worth stopping to visit.
What's In A Name?
1811 Eastlake pioneered a harm-reduction model that other cities now emulate.
“I wish that we could have less fear and more understanding, because [that's] what's really getting in the way of change right now — fear.”
